We desire for everyone to be a part of our worship ministry at Hallmark. Whether you are playing an instrument, singing on the worship team or the choir, serving in the technical booth, or just lifting up your voice in praise with the congregation we all can be involved in the worship of our Lord.
The theme verse for our worship ministry is Colossians 3:16 & 17,
“Let the word of Christ dwell in your richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
Worship is not an event but a lifestyle. Our time of praise each weekend is just the icing on the cake of your personal devotion to the Lord throughout each week.
At Hallmark, our focus is not style but substance. It’s evident that God loves variety (just look at creation), He has also commanded us 42 times throughout Scripture to “sing a new song.” Therefore, each song is selected to usher us into the presence of God, not to fill a quota or push a “preference”. After all, worship is about God and not about us.
On any given Sunday you may hear an old hymn and a new chorus, or a new hymn and an old chorus; but regardless of style, every song will be scripturally sound and Christ-exalting.
There are a variety of ways to serve in the worship ministry:
- Worship Team (Rehearse every Sunday from 8:30 – 9:30 am)
- Video (Remote Cameras)
